Bye, Bye, Girls. When Leslie left for the New York she asked, "what are you and Jackson going to Do?" Without hesitation I replied, "guy stuff..you know...like watch Spike TV all day" Well, we haven't watched much TV (cause it's still in the garage), but ask Jackson and he'll tell you we've been living by Spike's motto,
"It's a man's world".
That's right, the little man has been as Busy as a Bee in the Big Apple or something like that. Carpentry, Rock Climbing, Hill Running, Falling, Binge drinking (pints of milk at a time), Dog Wrangling, Fake eating vegetables, Rodeo Clowning, ignoring, etc. Jackson, Please slow down.
Where were we, before the soapbox. Oh Yeah, hopefully Jackson will absorb the carpentry skills from his grandpa Pop. Rodney is quite the Carpenter and always has new projects at the house. So, the three guys got together to put up some molding on the walls; Rodney financed and laid out the plans, Jackson measured and hammered, while I cut. Jackson was really confused with my hammer, he's like, "oh dad...somethings wrong with your hammer...it's too heavy, it's painted the wrong color (all hammers should be neon green) and worst dad...it doesn't squeak when you hit things". We finally agreed to disagree. Really fun doing work with three generations of guys, but as you can see in the picture (top right) there are always disagreements over who has best layout for the work with the given measurements.
When the work's over it's time to play...and make your child workout and sweat (so they don't get fat and they sleep well). It's crazy watching the little man's strength. When he climbs rock walls at the local parks, he pulls his whole body up by one arm. I mean really, how many one armed pull ups can you do? That's what I thought. Today He kept throwing the ball at the dog and laughing. I mean, what's more funny that watching you 15 month old hitting a dog in the face with a spider man bouncy ball...How cool is that?
Or you want to see Jackson really sweat, try convincing him that it's really cool to run up a really big hill. Then tell him it's easy to run down an even steeper hill and that grass really does taste good when you face-plant. Yeah Baby, while mom's out...
IT'S A MAN'S WORLD!

Now that my tears are finally dry from laughing so hard, I can attest to the truth in this entire blog. Jackson has worked hard on steps this week(up and down) in addition to all his "b'ness" with his dad....He is busy soaking up life in his little 15-month old body and making everyone smile! Love, Grammie
